The East European Factoring Association (EEFA) was created in June 2001 and unites a group of financial institutions (factors) of the region. It’s a voluntary, non-profit organisation with the main aim to contribute to the factoring market growth in the region as a whole and Eastern Europe magnitude increase on “factoring map of the world”.
One of the tasks of the EEFA is to promote the factoring industry in the national markets of CIS and other East European countries. Therefore, one of the key objectives of its activity is to introduce unified regulatory system for the factoring business, what, undoubtedly, will provide an urgent legal base for the international factoring markets participants’ activity as it creates favourable conditions for business activity and facilitates co-operation between factoring banks/companies of different countries.
The activity program also includes educational activity. The Association has already organised and held eight conferences the level and effectiveness of which were highly appreciated by their participants – the representatives of foreign and CIS countries. Along with holding conferences, Association has plans to arrange training seminars, scientific and practical conferences, business meetings as well as probation at foreign companies.
